Spotlight Summary by
Nonlocal Dispersion Cancellation using Entangled Photons
A theoretical prediction that dates back to 1992 is demonstrated experimentally for the first time in this work: for a pair of entangled photons traveling through two dispersive media, the dispersion experienced by one photon cancels that experienced by the second. This nonlocal dispersion cancellation can have important applications in fiber-based quantum communication and quantum metrology. The manuscript is well written, and the data as well as the theoretical background is presented in a clear and accessible way.
