Abstract

We extend the time-domain ptychographic iterative engine to generalized spectral phase-only transfer functions. The modified algorithm, $ {{\rm i}^2}{\rm PIE} $, is described and a method to choose phase-only transfer functions is defined. The robustness of the algorithm, in conjunction with the defined method of transfer function selection, is demonstrated by numeric simulation and experiment.
