Abstract

The lifetimes of 15 levels of Xe ii have been measured by a delayed coincidence method through 31 transitions in the range from 2576.97- to 5339.38-Å wavelengths. The measured levels belong to the 5p46p, 5p46d, and 5p47s configurations. For three levels our values are the first ones reported to our knowledge. Theoretical calculations in LS coupling have been performed, and a comparison is made with other experimental and theoretical values.
