Abstract

Noncollinear-phase-matching cones have been observed in second-harmonic-generation experiments. An analysis of noncollinear-phase-matching cones is given for both positive and negative uniaxial crystals. The existence of multiple cones is discussed and experimental observations of these cones are described.
