Abstract

Sector or angular scanning is added to the arsenal of scanning techniques useful in acoustical holography. This method produces a distortion that can be used to counteract the distortion due to wavelength disparity in the recording and reconstruction steps. A first-order analysis based on the zone plate, preliminary experimental results, and possible applications are presented.
