Abstract

An angular ir scattering instrument has been constructed. Measurements at ir wavelengths have been made on a polycrystalline specimen. A radiative balance equation has been written and an angular scattering function has been defined. The total scattered radiation is caculated by summation of the scattering function over all solid angles.
