Parametrizing confocal parameters for characterizing the optical properties of human brain tissue using high numerical aperture optical coherence tomography

Abstract

A systematic method was developed to parametrize confocal parameters for modeling the depth profile of optical coherence tomography images in highly scattering media. This approach enables improved quantification of optical properties of human brain tissue.
