Estimation of chlorine-based photosensitizer penetration depth prior to PDT procedure from two-wavelength excitation fluorescence measurements

Abstract

The ratio of fluorescence signals upon excitation of chlorine-based photosensitizers at peaks of 402 and 662 nm provides evaluation of photosensitizer penetration depth in biotissues. Monte Carlo simulations are in good agreement with phantom experiment.
