Non-intrusive pipeline pressure monitoring with a Fiber Bragg Gratings-based sensing patch

Abstract

A non-intrusive patch with three FBG sensors is proposed and tested for measuring a 4” gas pipeline’s internal pressure. Stable measurement over 8 days is achieved with less than one bar measuring resolution.
