Impact of Brillouin-enhanced Four-wave Mixing on the Stimulated Brillouin Scattering Threshold in Short Optical Fibers

Abstract

We analyze the Brillouin Stokes in optical fibers, taking four-wave-mixing effects into account, and report that the phase-mismatch in the four-wave-mixing process may have a significant impact on the stimulation process in short optical fibers.
