Waveguide-grating sensor with photo-switchable functionalization

Abstract

We combine a waveguide-grating optical-resonance sensor with photo-responsive azobenzene-containing aptamers for binding and detection of α-human thrombin. We show that photo switching of the azoaptamer changes the dissociation rate and may serve sensor regeneration.
