Abstract

In this paper we experimentally investigate the transverse effects of lateral carrier diffusion in Fabry-Perot resonators. A study of the beam intensity profiles in both branches of the hysteresis loop demonstrated that the effective size of the loop is smaller than theoretically expected in the plane-wave approximation.
