Abstract

It is well known that between 400 and 550 K, dramatic changes take place in the physical properties of Ti2O3. Specifically, the resistivity drops by an order of magnitude and the unit cell deforms while keeping the same lattice symmetry: The purpose of these time-resolved reflectivity measurements is to complement previous Raman1 and transport2 measurements to increase the understanding of this intriguing insulator-metal phase transition.
