Optical Analysis of Poly-Si and Poly-SiOx Carrier-Selective Passivating Contacts for c-Si Solar Cells

Abstract

We determine the optical properties of poly-Si and poly-SiOx used as carrier-selective passivating contacts and present optical simulations showing the gains in solar cell current resulting from the reduced parasitic absorption losses in poly-SiOx.
