Laparoscopic Diffuse Optical Spectroscopy of Underlying Vessel Structures: A Model of the Detectability of a Long Cylindrical Inclusion Bisecting the Source-detector Pair

Abstract

We present a model regarding laparoscopic detectability of a long absorbing tubular inclusion parallel to the medium surface and bisecting the source-detector-pair. The model agrees with measurements in an aqueous medium using a 10mm probe.
