Optical Biosensor method to develop human blood types data base using NIR Photons technology

Abstract

Free-space broadband frequency modulated near infrared (NIR) photon transmission and backscattering mode technique has been used in this paper as an optical bio-sensor method to measure, identify and extract optical properties of different blood types. The method depends on the measurements of a broadband frequencies ranging from 30MHz up to1000MHz to predict two important parameters related to the incident modulated signal Blind samples collected from thirty patients are examined using optical NIR transmission mode system, furthermore, an additional forty blood samples from random patients were examined using optical NIR reflection mode system.
