Hybrid metasurface-refractive lenses

Abstract

Metasurfaces comprise sub-wavelength nanostructures. We report dispersion-engineered metasurfaces with wavelength-dependent phase profiles to correct optical aberrations in refractive lenses from a simple singlet spherical lens to a complicated oil-immersion objective.
