Abstract
We demonstrate the first inline-amplified transmission with PPLN-based polarization- independent OPA offering 5.125-THz amplification bandwidth and >15-dB gain using 800-Gb/s PDM PS-36QAM signals. Results indicate the OPA potentially extends the WDM bandwidth to over 10.25 THz.
