Real-time strongly-coupled 4-core fiber transmission

Abstract

We show a real-time optical coherent MIMO receiver for 4-mode division multiplexed transmission. With the receiver, we demonstrate real-time strongly-coupled 4-core fiber transmission of WDM DP-QPSK signals over 60 km.
