Abstract

An FWM-based coherent self-superposition technique is proposed and demonstrated to synthesize 12.5-Gb/s SSB Nyquist 16QAM from Twin-SSB Nyquist QPSK, which effectively relaxes DAC resolution requirement. An equalization algorithm is also proposed for such approach’s detection.
