Abstract

We demonstrate transmission of 80-GBd probabilistic shaped 256QAM over 560-km SSMF, a record reach at 400-Gb/s line rate using single laser and direct detection, enabled by probabilistic constellation shaping and dual-virtual-carrier assisted Kramers-Kronig detection.
