Non-Orthogonal Matrix Precoding based Faster-than-Nyquist Signaling over Optical Wireless Communications

Abstract

We first investigate a novel non-orthogonal matrix precoding based faster-than-Nyquist signaling technology in OWC systems. Compared to the conventional schemes, it shows superior performance including PAPR reduction, improved sensitivity, and improved tolerance to narrow-bandwidth filtering.
