Dynamically Controlled Flexible-Grid Networks Based on Semi-Flexible Spectrum Assignment and Network-State-Value Evaluation

Abstract

We propose a novel RSA algorithm for dynamically-changing flexible-grid networks. The proposed scheme can suppress spectral fragmentation and adapt to traffic-distribution change. Extensive simulations show that the fiber-utilization efficiency is increased by 1% to 57%.
