Experimental Investigation of Static and Dynamic Crosstalk in Trench-Assisted Multi-Core Fiber

Abstract

We investigate the time-dependent crosstalk characteristics of trench-assisted multi-core fibers in a temperature controlled environment. Results indicate that temperature, PRBS length, modulation format and signaling rate impact the intensity and volatility of inter-core crosstalk.
