Faster-than-Nyquist DMT QPSK/16-QAM Signal Transmission with Iterative Detection and Sphere Decoder

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate 40Gbaud faster-than-Nyquist DMT QPSK/16-QAM signal transmission with bandwidth compression ratio of 0.7 and 0.88, respectively. The performance of iterative detection and sphere decoder for inter-carrier interference mitigation are investigated in both simulation and experiment.
