Experimental Verification of Equalization Enhanced Phase Noise in Kramers-Kronig Transmissions

Abstract

We experimentally investigate, for the first time, the impact of laser phase noise in a 30 Gbaud 64 QAM DD transmission system with Kramers-Kronig receiver, showing significant impacts of phase-to-amplitude noise conversion and EEPN.
