A Low-Complexity Adaptive Equalizer for Digital Coherent Short-Reach Optical Transmission Systems

Abstract

We propose a novel adaptive equalization algorithm for short-reach digital coherent systems targeting intra-datacenter applications. Its performance is similar to conventional method, while the number of real multipliers is reduced by ~65%.
