Transmission of 80-GBd 16-QAM over 300 km and Kramers-Kronig Reception Using a Low-Complexity FIR Hilbert Filter Approximation

Abstract

We demonstrate Kramers-Kronig reception at a net rate of 267 Gb/s using a single high-bandwidth photodiode. We propose a low complexity DSP implementation, analyze back-to-back performance, and show transmission over up to 300 km.
