Optical Signal Processing in the Discrete Nonlinear Frequency Domain

Abstract

We investigate the possibility of optical signal processing (OSP) for the nonlinear discrete spectrum. OSP is used to generate and separate a fifth-order soliton optically by a novel transmitter and receiver setup with highly-nonlinear fiber.
