Abstract
This paper describes distribution networks based on the combination of passive splitting of optical signals1,2 and on the use of frequency modulated (FM) microwave subcarriers to provide video services.3–5 This approach appears to be very cost-effective for providing voice, data, and multichannel video services for 16-32 subscribers from a single fiber feeder.
