Abstract

The double-stage phase-diversity (DSPD) scheme proposed in this paper features phase-diversity-type optical homodyne detection, and phase-diversity-type frequency up-conversion producing heterodyne-like second IF signal. It has the advantages of both heterodyning and homodyning. Results of a simulation experiment are presented.
