LOW COST PROCESS FOR LOW LOSS SINGLE MODE FIBRES

Not Accessible

Abstract

Current preform production processes commonly exhibit low production rate (~ 10 g/min), low material yield (~ 50 %), and complicated i.e. expensive machinery. This is due to the need to produce oxide particles and deposit them from the very same gas stream within one single reactor.
