Abstract
The most important use of holography is in matched filtering and optical recognition systems. Waveguide holograms (WHs) are a new class of hologram, differing from the others by utilization of the modes of waveguides for reconstruction or/and recording of the images.1 WHs are combined with integrated-optic schemes. We have studied the use of WHs in integrated- optic recognition systems, where the WH is used as the matched filter.
