Abstract

Recently, fiber-optic communication trends are from shortwave communications to longwave communications, as well as from multimode fiber communications to single-mode fiber communications. With these trends, various kinds of optical passive device for longwave fiber-optic communications have been developed. Several Interesting device examples are reviewed In this paper.
