Abstract
The characteristics of injection lasers under high-speed modulation are of great interest for high bandwidth lightwave communication. Control of the dynamic spectra, e.g., achieving and maintaining single-longitudinal-mode operation under fast modulation, is important in long distance, high bandwidth single-mode fiber transmission (where chromatic dispersion or mode partition noise can become the transmission 1 imitation with multi-longitudinal-mode injection lasers).
