Abstract

Thin-film resonators have been made comprised of low-loss channel waveguides and evanescent wave couplers. The resonator configuration employed a circular ring as the resonator cavity and opposing tangential straight waveguides as the input-output couplers. The waveguides were formed by photopolymerization of a thin film using a focused He-Cd (325-nm) laser.
