Abstract

Because of their small size, high efficiency, and ease of modulation, the injection lasers are strong candidates for the light source in future high-data-rate analog and digital optical-communication systems. The simplest way to modulate the output of an injection laser is directly to vary the current of the laser. In this talk we present the injection- laser modulation response with sinusoidal current variations.
