Label-free dynamic lipid membrane potential imaging

Abstract

Using high throughput wide field SH imaging we probe the orientational ordering of water in freestanding lipid membrane hydration shells, and determine real-time membrane potential maps (400 nm, ~100 ms). Applications to neurons are investigated.
