Abstract
The controllable emission of fundamental dissipative solitons in a magneto-optic bulk medium is modeled in the framework of the complex Ginzburg-Landau equation with a potential term. The potential accounts for the control influence of an externally applied magnetic field in the Faraday configuration upon the dynamics of light beams within the medium. It is demonstrated that a locally applied magnetic field induces the emission of new solitons from a single one. The seed soliton can be both fundamental soliton and vortex.
