Abstract

We report generation of spectrally flat deep-UV-to-visible supercontinua in hydrogen-filled hollow-core PCF, assisted by strong UV-enhanced Raman gain, as well as soliton self-compression of ~500 nJ, 400 nm pulses to sub-6-fs durations in argon-filled PCF.
