Ultralow Loss (2 dB/km) Hollow-Core Conjoined-Tube Negative-Curvature Fiber

Abstract

We report a brand-new hollow-core conjoined-tube negative-curvature fiber with a minimum attenuation of 2 dB/km at 1512 nm, almost approaching the loss record of hollow-core photonic bandgap fiber with a 20-years history.
