Mid-infrared Hyperbolic Plasmons in Aligned Carbon Nanotube Metamaterials

Abstract

A tunable mid-infrared hyperbolic metamaterial is demonstrated based on aligned carbon nanotube films. The hyperbolic dispersion of the plasmon modes is clearly shown through the experimental and theoretical studies of various nanopatterned films.
