Optical Thermodynamics of Polarization Interactions in Nonlinear Multimode Systems

Abstract

We show that the optical internal energy of a nonlinear multimoded optical lattice involving two circular polarizations always flows from a hotter to a colder system- as expected from the second law of thermodynamics.
