Nonlinear Photonic Jx Arrays as Saturable Absorbers and Optical Delimiters

Abstract

We present a novel design for on-chip integrated saturable absorbers and optical limiters based on the so-called Jx lattice, and demonstrate its practical feasibility in realistic material platforms such as femtosecond laser-written waveguide arrays.
