Novel Method of Measuring Longitudinal Temperature Distribution in End-Pumped Laser Medium

Abstract

Laser gain medium temperature distribution is crucial for laser operation. Here we demonstrate a novel method of measuring longitudinal temperature distribution in end-pumped laser medium avoiding additional heating of temperature sensors by scattered radiation.
