Abstract

We report for the first time a figure-8 all-PM mode-locked Nd-fiber laser operating at 927 nm in the dissipative soliton resonance (DSR) regime. This laser is based on a nonlinear amplifying loop mirror (NALM) and enables the generation of nanosecond pulses whose duration scales with pump power. Strikingly, the nanojoule output pulses feature a very narrow optical spectrum along with excellent noise properties.
