Substrate Effect on Sensing Characteristics of Gold Thin Films and Gratings

Abstract

The refractive index sensitivity of gold thin film as well as the grating structure was studied numerically and found to be increasing for a decrease in substrate refractive index from 1.7231 to 1.4570.
