Abstract

Numerical simulations have been performed to generate an ultra-broadband supercontinuum spectrum spanning, 12,500 nm in the mid-infrared wavelength region at a pump wavelength of 3100 nm. Proposed photonic crystal fiber has obtained very high nonlinear coefficient (4,591W-1.km-1) corresponding to the effective mode area of the fundamental mode of 4.5 µm2.
