Quantum Phase Transitions in Finite Atomic Ensemble under the EIT Configuration

Abstract

We study the ground states of finite ensembles of Λ-type three-level atoms interacting with two electromagnetic fields in the electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) approximation. Critical couplings are revealed for the existence of quantum phase transitions (QPT).
