Generation of flat supercontinuum spectrum pumped by amplified noise-like pulses from a figure-eight fiber laser

Abstract

A figure-eight fiber laser and their application for supercontinuum generation in the anomalous dispersion regime is presented. Flat uniformity of around 3-dB in the range from 1261 to 2261 nm is achieved.
